Toronto Port Lands Flood Protection Project

MinoKamik has been working since 2020 with Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates (MVVA), a landscape firm working with the Waterfront Toronto (WT) City / Provincial Agencies, and in partnership with the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation to implement the Port Lands Flood Protection (PLFP) project. The PLFP is an amalgamation of the approved environmental assessments for the Don Mouth Naturalization and Port Lands Flood Protection Project, and the Lower Don Lands Transportation and Servicing Master Plan. Our role in this project is to assist MVVA and the Waterfront Toronto Team in Indigenous community engagement and Indigenous design services.
